Summer Activity Letter

The staff at The Hills Montessori have been busy planning a GREAT summer program for your children, so we wanted to give you some of the highlights of Special Visitors already scheduled to come spend time with us:

Monday, June 10th: Barnes & Noble – Dinosaur Story Time @ 10 am with the toddlers, and Olympic Story Time with the Preschoolers at 10:30 am.

Thursday, June 20th: Create (Elkhorn Art Studio) to provide special art experiences for Magical Land  theme to toddlers @ 9:30 and Non Traditional art experience for preschoolers @ 10:30. (Arts for All still to be confirmed)

Monday, June 24th: Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo Live Animal Experience @ 10:30 with toddler and preschoolers.

Tuesday, June 26th: Soyby Ranch is visiting with a live Llama and other surprise animals!!

Tuesday, July 2nd: Omaha Fire and Police Department @ 10:30 am with toddler and preschoolers.

Wednesday, July 10th: Omaha Children’s Museum Amazing Bubble Experiment Show @ 10 am with toddler and preschoolers.

Monday, July 15th: Hy-Vee Dietician Lindsay Martian will visit toddler room to discuss her job @ 10 am.

July 17th: Local musician James Wagner will play and present several music genres to the preschoolers at 9:30 am.

Thursday, July 25th: The Durham Museum will visit the preschoolers and present Historic Game Class from 9-10:30 am.

Monday, July 29th: Fontenelle Forest Live Animal Critters on the Move Program @ 9 am with toddler and preschoolers.

Tuesday, July 30th: NRD (Papio-Missouri River Natural Resources Conservation) offering toddlers Incredible Insect program at 9:30, and Bird Nest program for preschoolers at 10:30.

Monday, August 5th:  Hy-Vee Dietician Lindsay Martian will visit with preschoolers about MyPlate and Hy-Vee Number Nutrition System programs @ 11 am.

July/August: Omaha Music Conservatory – Tentative & Waiting to Confirm

The special guests have graciously extended an invitation to our student siblings to join us for their special presentations. We just ask that you let your child’s classroom teacher know that siblings will be attending so we can plan accordingly. Also – parents are always welcome to join us for the fun, and if your child does not normally attend school on the day of the special visitor, he/she is invited to join us for the special session!
